Apple Mac OS X 10.6.3 Compatibility Software
Apple today released Mac OS X 10.6.3, the update maintenance thirds for Snow Leopard via Software Update and society software downloads page. The 10.6.3 update is recommended for all users Mac OS X Snow Leopard since it provides hundreds of fixes implemented since the release of Mac OS X 10.6.2 last November and an update issued interim security in January.

Included in this latest update are numerous fixes and improvements for issues as diverse as updated Daylight Savings time rules of Antarctica to improve the reliability of synchronizing iDisk. Apple has also specifically asked for a more substantial change: Mac OS X 10.6.3 can automatically collect diagnostic information and use your Mac and send it to Apple for analysis, the ultimate goal of ‘improving Apple’s products and services. The data submission, which is called by actions such as force quit applications, kernel panics and system errors is sent anonymously to Apple and are collected with the explicit consent of the user.
Apple also updated Mac OS X Server to version 10.6.3 on Monday, adding to general stability improvements and fixes for specific systems such as Service Calendar, Mail Service, Directory Service, Podcast Producer and more. It also includes the same security fixes applied to the client version of Mac OS X 10.6.3. Both the Mac OS X 10.6.3 update and Mac OS X Server 10.6.3 update are available on the download site or via Apple Software Update. The update also improves stability, compatibility and security of your Mac.
